Coaches & Lifeguards

We have a wonderful group of coaches who are dedicated and work hard to continually create and deliver a range of activities both at the pool and on the beach. They follow the SLSGB programme to ensure that all aspects of the Surf Life Saving syllabus are covered and making each session fun and informative whilst strengthening confidence and technique. We have recently appointed new coaches and are always keen to train more. The coaching course is run by Surf Life Saving GB, it is a one day course usually held in Redruth or Newquay. Coaches must also complete a one-day Safeguarding course, and an Aquatic First Aid course, and complete the medical questionnaire to ensure their own fitness to participate.
